Welcome to AdvoraHQ (“we,” “us,” “the site”), accessible at https://advorahq.com. By accessing or using this website in any way — whether by reading articles, clicking links, leaving comments, sending email, or any other interaction — you (“you,” “user,” “reader”) agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”) and all applicable laws and regulations.
If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must stop using the site immediately. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the site, with or without an account.

The site is intended for users in jurisdictions where its content is lawful. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the site complies with the laws of your country, state, or region.
3. About the Operator
AdvoraHQ is an independent publication operated by Daniel Hayes as a sole operator. There is no incorporated entity, no parent company, and no affiliated organization. The site is a one-person editorial project.
This is stated openly because transparency about who operates a finance publication is part of the trust the site is built on.
4. Intellectual Property Rights
Unless otherwise stated, all content published on AdvoraHQ — including articles, written commentary, original analysis, graphics, charts, layouts, logos, designs, and the AdvoraHQ name itself — is the intellectual property of Daniel Hayes / AdvoraHQ and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

- View and read content for personal, non-commercial use
- Download or print articles for personal reference
- Share article links on social media or via email

However, by submitting content to AdvoraHQ, you grant the operator a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, display, edit, and adapt your submission in connection with the site.

7. Not Professional Advice — Critical Disclaimer
This section is the most important in these Terms. Please read it carefully.
AdvoraHQ publishes educational content about U.S. tax policy, insurance regulation, personal finance, credit cards, investing, and consumer law. The site is operated by Daniel Hayes, who is not a licensed attorney, Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Enrolled Agent (EA), registered investment advisor, or insurance broker.
Nothing on this site is:
- Legal advice
- Tax advice
- Financial or investment advice
- Insurance advice
- Credit counseling or credit repair guidance
- An offer or solicitation to buy or sell any financial product
- A recommendation to take or avoid any specific action
All content is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. It may not reflect the most current legal or regulatory developments in every jurisdiction. Applying general information to your specific situation without professional guidance can lead to financial or legal harm.
Before making any decision that affects your money, taxes, business, credit, or legal position, you must consult a qualified, licensed professional in your jurisdiction. Reading an article on AdvoraHQ does not create any advisor-client, attorney-client, or fiduciary relationship.
Your reliance on any information provided by AdvoraHQ is solely at your own risk.
8. Affiliate and Advertising Disclosures
Some articles on AdvoraHQ contain affiliate links. When an affiliate link appears, it is disclosed at the top of the article. If you click an affiliate link and complete a qualifying action (such as making a purchase or signing up for a service), the site may earn a commission at no additional cost to you.
Affiliate relationships never influence editorial content. No product is covered because of an affiliate relationship, and no review is altered because of one. Full compensation details are available in the Affiliate Disclosure. Display advertising is provided by Google AdSense and is visually distinct from editorial content. Full editorial standards are documented on the Editorial Policy page.
9. External Links
AdvoraHQ contains links to external websites — IRS publications, legislative databases, court opinions, academic papers, news outlets, partner services, and others. These links are provided for informational purposes and convenience only.
AdvoraHQ has no control over the content of external sites and does not endorse, guarantee, or assume responsibility for any content, products, services, or practices on those sites. Your use of linked sites is entirely at your own risk and is subject to those sites’ own terms and privacy policies.
10. No Warranties
This website and all content on it are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, AdvoraHQ and its operator disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to:
- Implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose
- Warranties that the site will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
- Warranties about the accuracy, reliability, completeness, currency, or timeliness of content
- Warranties about the results obtained from using the site or its content
- Warranties that defects will be corrected
- Warranties that the site or its server is free of viruses or other harmful components
While significant effort is put into ensuring accuracy and currency of content, no guarantee is made that all information is error-free or applicable to every situation.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AdvoraHQ and its operator shall not be liable for any:
- Direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages
- Loss of profits, revenue, data, business opportunities, or goodwill
- Damages resulting from reliance on any information published on the site
- Damages resulting from financial, tax, legal, or insurance decisions made based on site content
- Damages resulting from the unavailability, malfunction, or interruption of the site
- Damages resulting from content, products, or services of third-party websites linked from this site
- Damages resulting from unauthorized access to or alteration of your transmissions or data
This limitation applies whether the claim is based on contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or any other legal theory, and even if AdvoraHQ has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
In jurisdictions that do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages, liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless AdvoraHQ and its operator (Daniel Hayes), and their respective successors and assigns, from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from or related to:
- Your use or misuse of the site
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any applicable law or regulation
- Your violation of any third-party right, including intellectual property or privacy rights
- Any content you submit to the site
13. DMCA / Copyright Infringement Notices
AdvoraHQ respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users to do the same. If you believe that your copyrighted work has been used on this site in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please send a notice that includes:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized agent
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed
- The URL or specific location of the allegedly infringing material on this site
- Your contact information (name, address, phone, email)
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner
Send DMCA notices to: Daniel.Hayes@advorahq.com with the subject line “DMCA Notice.”
AdvoraHQ will respond to valid DMCA notices in accordance with applicable law. Repeated infringers will be permanently blocked.
14. Privacy
Your use of the site is also governed by the Privacy Policy, which explains how information is collected, used, shared, and protected. By using the site, you also agree to the Privacy Policy.
15. Modifications to the Site
AdvoraHQ reserves the right at any time, and without notice, to:
- Modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the site
- Edit, remove, or update any content
- Restrict access to certain features or to the site as a whole
- Implement technical changes that may affect site functionality
AdvoraHQ shall not be liable to you or to any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the site.
16. Modifications to These Terms
These Terms may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in practice, technology, legal requirements, or site functionality. When material changes are made:
- The “Last Updated” date at the top of this page is revised
- Significant changes are highlighted at the top of this page for at least 30 days
Your continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. You should review these Terms periodically.
17. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where the operator resides, without regard to conflict of law principles. To the extent permitted by applicable law:
- Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the site will be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction in the operator’s jurisdiction
- You agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of those courts
- You waive any objection to venue based on inconvenient forum
Where local consumer-protection laws of your country provide rights that cannot be waived, those rights remain unaffected by this section.
18. Dispute Resolution
Before initiating any formal legal action, you agree to attempt to resolve disputes informally by contacting Daniel.Hayes@advorahq.com with a clear description of the issue and the resolution sought. Most issues can be resolved this way within 30 days.
If informal resolution fails, any remaining dispute will be resolved through the appropriate courts as described in Section 17.
19. General Provisions
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid under applicable law, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Editorial Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and AdvoraHQ regarding your use of the site, and supersede any prior agreements or understandings.
Force Majeure
AdvoraHQ shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance resulting from events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, internet outages, cyberattacks, government actions, or pandemics.
Assignment
You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without prior written consent. AdvoraHQ may assign or transfer these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, or operation of law.
No Waiver
Failure by AdvoraHQ to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that provision or of any other provision.
Headings
Section headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation of these Terms.
